NEW YORK, Oct. 6, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Al-Futtaim Education Foundation and the Dwight-Franklin School Group recently celebrated the inauguration of Dwight School Cairo, a new international school in Cairo Festival City, Egypt. The school officially opened its doors on September 14, welcoming its first cohort of students for the 2026–27 academic year, marking the organizations’ latest milestone in their strategic partnership to deliver a distinctive, internationally focused education experience in the region.

Dwight School Cairo’s first phase welcomes students from Pre-K through grade 5, offering flexible classrooms, specialist learning areas, a library, a makerspace, music spaces, and shared areas designed to encourage exploration, collaboration, creativity, and well-being. Grades 6-9 will be introduced in the 2027–28 academic year as the school continues its phased development.
On September 21, the school was inaugurated by Omar Al Futtaim, Vice Chairman and CEO of Al-Futtaim Group; Mira Al Futtaim, Chief Future Education Officer at Al-Futtaim Education Foundation and Chairwoman of Emiratisation at Al-Futtaim Group; and Dr. Blake Spahn, Vice Chancellor of the Dwight-Franklin School Group. They were joined by school leadership, educators, and founding families.
