Comprehensive mental health assessment platform will give behavioral health teams a broader, more consistent view of each patient’s needs.
CHICAGO, IL, UNITED STATES, October 28, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Vivent Health, one of the nation’s leading providers of integrated HIV care, treatment and prevention, has adopted MindMetrix as part of its investment in bringing greater precision and consistency to mental health diagnosis and care. The platform will give Vivent Health’s clinicians a comprehensive, evidence-based mental health assessment to support diagnostic decision-making, treatment planning and collaborative conversation with patients.
MindMetrix is an adaptive online assessment that evaluates more than 60 DSM-5 conditions in a single testing flow. Based on a patient’s initial responses, the platform administers relevant validated rating scales and targeted contextual questions, then organizes the findings into a chart-ready clinical report. The report highlights data-supported conditions, possible explanations for overlapping symptoms, key psychosocial factors and other considerations for diagnosis and treatment. Final diagnosis and treatment decisions remain with the clinician.
For Vivent Health, the adoption supports a comprehensive, integrated model in which clinical teams, pharmacy, and social service professionals work together around each patient’s goals. Mental health symptoms can overlap, present alongside other conditions or be difficult for patients to raise in a visit. A standardized, broad assessment can help clinicians identify areas that deserve closer attention and use appointment time for a more focused discussion.
“People living with HIV often have complex, intersecting health needs, and mental health is an essential part of the whole-person care we provide,” said Dr. Mark Townsend, Staff Psychiatrist and National Program Director for Psychiatry at Vivent Health. “Because MindMetrix lets patients list and reflect upon their symptoms before they even see us, not only can they participate directly in the diagnostic process, but they have also experienced, right from the start, the sort of caring, personalized attention we give every Vivent patient. Because the MindMetrix surveys they complete give us a head start on creating treatment strategies, that first session becomes a more collaborative, knowledge-driven experience for both patient and psychiatric provider– giving our clinicians a consistent way to gather a broader clinical picture, helping us ask better questions, recognize concerns that might otherwise go unaddressed and work with each patient to develop a more informed plan of care.”
Vivent Health clinicians send the assessment through a secure dashboard for patients to complete before or between appointments. Results are available as soon as testing is complete, allowing clinicians to review the findings with patients and incorporate relevant information into the care plan. The platform also supports follow-up testing so teams can monitor changes in symptoms and treatment response over time.
“Vivent Health has built its care model around seeing and supporting the whole person. MindMetrix gives its clinicians a practical way to bring a broader set of mental health information into that model, while preserving the clinical judgment and patient conversation at the center of care,” said Margot Nash, Co-founder and CEO of MindMetrix. “We are honored to support a team that is so deeply committed to coordinated, individualized care.”
