AI-powered smart fragrance device recognized among the luxury packaging industry’s leading innovations

Presented September 28 during LUXE PACK Monaco, the Formes de Luxe Awards are among the luxury packaging industry’s most respected honors, recognizing outstanding innovation in luxury packaging. Now in their 28th year, the awards bring together packaging manufacturers, brands, and industry leaders from across the global luxury market.

Winners are selected by a jury of luxury packaging professionals, with entries evaluated on innovation, technical manufacturing challenges, quality and aesthetic appeal, and sustainability. The ININUM device was recognized in the Beauty Tech category, one of 24 categories in the 2026 competition.

Berlin Packaging partnered with ININUM to develop the award-winning smart fragrance device, which allows consumers to create personalized scents in real time by blending interchangeable fragrance pods. The sleek cylindrical device combines premium industrial design with Bluetooth Low Energy connectivity, NFC-enabled pod recognition, app-controlled scent blending, and AI-powered fragrance recommendations.

Users can create digital scent profiles, save customized favorites, and carry multiple fragrance options within a single portable device. Replaceable and recyclable fragrance cartridges also allow consumers to continuously refresh their scent experience without replacing the device itself.
