Arcwood Environmental Launches VeriFAS™, a Comprehensive, Proven Solution for PFAS Destruction
PR Newswire
INDIANAPOLIS, Oct. 1, 2026
Rigorous, EPA-led testing demonstrated destruction and removal efficiency of up to and greater than 99.9999% across multiple PFAS-containing materials
INDIANAPOLIS, Oct. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Arcwood Environmental today announced the launch of VeriFAS™, a proven, end-to-end solution for disposing of and destroying PFAS-containing materials. Drawing on Arcwood’s decades of experience managing complex waste streams, VeriFAS™ integrates evaluation and field services, transportation, and hazardous waste incineration through a single experienced partner.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency led real-world testing under normal operating conditions at Arcwood’s hazardous waste incineration facility, with participation from the Department of War. The testing demonstrated destruction and removal efficiency of up to and greater than 99.9999% across multiple PFAS-containing materials.
“As organizations identify and remove PFAS from products, water systems, firefighting foam, and industrial processes, the challenge does not end at collection. VeriFAS™ draws on capabilities we have built over decades to provide a seamless, end-to-end solution for PFAS handling and destruction. As state and federal regulations continue to evolve, a trusted, proven partner for the entire process matters more than ever”, said HP Nanda, CEO of Arcwood Environmental.
Testing at Arcwood’s facility comprised three sampling campaigns and nine labeled tests, including triplicate runs using real-world PFAS-containing materials: aqueous film-forming foam (AFFF), concentrated PFAS-containing waste, PFAS-laden granular activated carbon, and ion exchange resin used in water treatment. EPA’s formal report on the testing is expected to be published in December 2026.
“Organizations need confidence that they are managing PFAS responsibly and keeping pace with evolving regulations and stakeholder expectations,” said Carol Roos, Chief Sustainability and Communications Officer at Arcwood Environmental. “VeriFAS™ gives them greater peace of mind that PFAS destruction has been managed with the rigor, transparency, and accountability this issue demands.”
