Companies bring together Semidynamics’ AI accelerators and Nokia’s data center networking expertise to support European AI ambitions
BARCELONA, SPAIN, October 29, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Semidynamics and Nokia have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to explore how their AI computing and data center networking technologies could support Europe’s sovereign AI ambitions. The companies will assess how their complementary technologies could work together in large-scale AI infrastructure and explore additional options for organizations building AI infrastructure.
The collaboration will explore opportunities to assess, test, validate and, where appropriate, integrate Semidynamics’ AI accelerators and liquid cooled racks with Nokia’s Data Center Fabric solutions. As part of this work, Semidynamics will evaluate Nokia’s networking technologies and related solutions for its AI inference racks.
Semidynamics is developing proprietary RISC-V-based AI inference technology and integrated systems, while Nokia provides the AI-optimized networking solutions that connect computing systems within data centers. Their shared objective is to strengthen Europe’s capacity to develop and deploy AI infrastructure using European technology. This work will help assess the feasibility of integrated solutions and inform potential joint technical and commercial propositions. For organizations developing sovereign AI infrastructure, the intended value is a broader base of technology expertise and potential options for future deployments.
“Europe’s AI ambitions need European technology that can be deployed at scale,” said Roger Espasa, CEO of Semidynamics. “Working with Nokia gives us a framework to advance our memory-centric inference platform alongside the networking needed for large AI infrastructure. Our aim is to give customers a stronger European technology offering for deploying AI at scale.”
“Strengthening Europe’s AI capabilities means contributing technology and expertise to advance a broader, open ecosystem for trusted AI infrastructure,” said Matthieu Bourguignon, Senior Vice-President for Network Infrastructure Europe at Nokia. “Through this agreement, we will explore how computing and connectivity can work together to support organizations developing sovereign AI infrastructure with trusted technologies.”
