Scottsdale, Ariz. – August 11, 2026 – Effective August 15, Embark Behavioral Health’s Scottsdale outpatient clinic will become an in-network provider with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona. For eligible members enrolled in commercial plans, the agreement provides in-network access to intensive outpatient mental health services for adolescents and young adults, subject to individual coverage and eligibility.

For youth and young adults seeking mental health care, accessible treatment remains an important consideration and often presents a barrier to long-term healing. For many families, whether a provider is in network can play a significant role in how quickly they are able to begin treatment and stay engaged in care.

“Families have so much to navigate when they’re looking for mental health care,” said Samantha Morris, Clinical Director of Embark Behavioral Health in Scottsdale. “We are excited to provide more pathways to care that reduces barriers and allows families to focus on healing.”

Embark Behavioral Health in Scottsdale offers an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) for adolescents and young adults. Care is tailored to each client’s needs and includes evidence-based therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), integrated with individual, group, and family therapy sessions.

Embark monitors both client and family progress closely throughout treatment, using internationally validated, reliability-tested tools as part of measurement-informed care to capture data and watch care progression in real-time, allowing clinicians to continually tailor treatment plans as a client’s and family’s needs evolve.

Scott Filion, CEO of Embark Behavioral Health, said expanding in-network access remains an important part of helping families connect with care sooner.

“Expanding access to quality mental health care continues to be one of our highest priorities,” Filion said. “We’re pleased to be able to offer that access to more families here in Arizona.”

This move aligns with Embark’s broader strategy of working with commercial insurance carriers to bring high-quality, specialized care in-network to families across its national footprint.

Earlier this month, the organization’s teen residential program in Bend, Oregon, became in-network with Regence BlueCross BlueShield, giving more families in the region access to care through their commercial insurance benefits. The residential program is an existing in-network provider with health plans offered by Moda Health, PacificSource, and Providence Health Plan.

Filion added, “Bringing programs in-network is one way we can continue creating more pathways to affordable care, helping families connect with care earlier, and supporting the long-term growth of our continuum of care.”
