The nonprofit will be celebrating its 12-year anniversary of working to end homelessness in the state of Nevada.
LAS VEGAS, NV, UNITED STATES, August 31, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Vegas Stronger, the nonprofit working to end homelessness in Nevada by treating the root causes of substance use disorder and mental illness, will host its Recovery Month Celebration on Thursday, September 17, 2026, from 11:30am to 1:00pm bringing together community members, supporters, staff, alumni, and partners to celebrate recovery and the organization’s work to end homelessness and addiction in the community.
All are invited to attend this special event, which will offer an opportunity to learn more about Vegas Stronger, tour its campus, enjoy lunch, participate in a Narcan training and demonstration, and hear from expert speakers, staff, and program alumni whose experiences highlight the impact of recovery.
“Recovery is something worth celebrating, not only for the individuals who experience it, but for the families, organizations and communities that make recovery possible,” said David Marlon, PsyD, cofounder and CEO of Vegas Stronger. “This celebration is an opportunity to come together, learn, connect and recognize the people who help make Vegas Stronger’s mission possible.”
The Recovery Month Celebration will feature a full afternoon of opportunities to engage with the Vegas Stronger community, including:

– 12:15 p.m. Lunch with Staff & Alumni Testimonials
– 12:45 p.m. NARCAN Training/Demonstration
– 12:55 p.m. Recovery Countdown with Dr. Dave Marlon
Guests will have the opportunity to hear directly from those connected to Vegas Stronger and gain a deeper understanding of the organization’s efforts to create lasting change in the Las Vegas community.
