Christian Community Homes & Services marked 45 years of service with a community celebration at its Hudson campus on July 29, 2026. The event, titled “Cruisin’ Through the Years: A Look in the Rearview,” brought together residents, families, staff, former employees, neighbors, and local supporters for an afternoon focused on the organization’s history and continued work in senior living.

The program ran from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and featured a classic car cruise, live music by the St. Croix Boomer Band, food and refreshments, games, and campus tours. At 5:30 p.m., the organization held a special anniversary recognition titled “A Look in the Rearview,” highlighting people, memories, and milestones from the past 45 years. Guests also viewed a walk-through display of the organization’s history and toured recently added assisted living apartments.

The gathering reflected the theme of community, care, and honor that has guided Christian Community Homes & Services since its founding. The organization began in 1981 after the Hudson United Methodist Church and local residents worked to keep a nursing home in the community. That initial skilled nursing operation later grew into a full campus with long-term and transitional care, independent living at WinterGreen, assisted living at Pine Ridge, and secure memory care at Pine Ridge Gardens. A second campus in Osceola later added skilled nursing, transitional care and rehabilitation, and assisted living adjacent to the Osceola Medical Center.

Shelly DeStasio, Director of Community Relations, addressed the significance of the milestone. “The anniversary event was an opportunity to thank the residents, families, staff, and community members who have supported this mission for 45 years. The celebration recognized both the organization’s beginnings and the work that continues each day.”

The event also drew attention to recent campus improvements, including added assisted living apartments that were opened for tours during the celebration. Those additions are part of a broader effort to offer a continuum of housing and care so residents can remain connected to familiar staff and settings as their needs change. Independent living, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, and rehabilitation services remain organized around individualized care plans and faith-based support.

Life enrichment programming was visible throughout the evening. Music, games, and informal conversation aligned with the organization’s emphasis on social connection as well as clinical care. Spiritual support, including worship and pastoral services, remains part of daily life at both campuses and was part of the history presented during the anniversary program.

The Christian Community Campus Foundation continues to support resident assistance, equipment, staff education, and programming that make events of this kind possible. Volunteers and community partners also contributed to the anniversary gathering, consistent with the organization’s long-standing reliance on local involvement.

Christian Community Homes & Services operates as a nonprofit, faith-based provider serving seniors through two campuses. For a nonprofit that began as a community effort to preserve local nursing home services, the anniversary program underscored the same local partnership that launched the organization in 1981.

Christian Community Homes & Services remains focused on providing senior living options that combine clinical support, daily assistance, and a faith-centered community setting. The 45th anniversary event documented that history in public view and connected current residents and neighbors to the organization’s next chapter of service.
