Candidly, the category-defining AI-native enterprise harness purpose-built for financial services, today announced a new capability in the Candidly Intelligence Center that broadens its guidance across major forms of consumer debt. Part of its composable stack of AI agents, it joins the six capabilities released in July: retirement, equity compensation, account guidance, budgeting, benefits intelligence, and the new tax-advantaged children’s investment accounts widely known as Trump Accounts, or 530A accounts. Together, they let partners deliver personalized guidance across both the asset and liability sides of the personal balance sheet.
American households carried $18.8 trillion in debt, spanning mortgages, credit cards, auto loans, and student loans as of the second quarter of 2026, according to the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Yet most workplace financial guidance still handles debt one balance at a time, if at all, and treats student debt in isolation. The new capability brings all of a person’s debt into a single view and guides payoff across every balance, so no debt is managed in isolation.
What It Does
The capability reasons over a person’s full set of debts to show them what they owe and where to focus:
– The full picture: every balance, blended interest rate, and monthly payment, with health checks like debt-to-income and credit utilization
– Payoff strategy: highest-rate-first and smallest-balance-first compared against real numbers, with debt-free dates and interest saved
– Scenarios: what an extra payment saves, and whether a balance-transfer offer is worth the fee
– Debt versus everything else: whether it is higher return to pay down certain debt versus investing or saving
Both Sides of the Balance Sheet
July’s release covered the asset side, from retirement and equity to budgeting, benefits, and the children’s investment accounts. This capability completes the other side.
“Three stakeholders we serve asked us to expand into guidance across debt more broadly: distribution partners, plan sponsors, and participants or investors. To offer holistic, N=1 guidance, debt is a critical part of the equation, and the data clearly demonstrate that debt is a blocker to wealth accumulation. This capability enables us to optimize for the whole, and not an isolated financial product. We are excited to expand our ability to empower hardworking Americans to go beyond debt, into wellness, and ultimately wealth,” said Laurel Taylor, Founder and CEO of Candidly.
Availability
The new capability will be available this month through Candidly’s Agent gateway, and it will be part of the white-labeled front-end experiences Candidly is releasing this fall. Like every capability in the Candidly Intelligence Center, it is deterministic by design, auditable end-to-end, and computed against permissioned, institution-grade data. The platform is certified SOC 2 Privacy and SOC 2 Type II, aligned to NIST 800-53 Rev. 5, and deployable on-premises.
