ISTANBUL and ATLANTA, Sept. 16, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — YILPORT Holding, in partnership with Kaleris, has increased yard performance by 21% at its Gebze Terminal following the implementation of Kaleris’ RTG Optimization (RTG-O) solution. The deployment supports YILPORT’s broader efforts to improve terminal efficiency and better utilize its fleet of 31 rubber-tired gantry (RTG) cranes, highlighting the growing role of optimization technology in improving equipment performance.

Prior to implementing RTG-O, Gebze faced a common challenge for high-performing terminals: how to maximize productivity from existing assets rather than adding new equipment. Facing unrealized opportunities to improve RTG productivity, reduce non-productive travel, and better balance workload across cranes, Gebze embraced technology to make the most of its current infrastructure while also supporting dispatchers with timelier, data-driven decision-making.
RTG-O continuously analyzes terminal demand and recommends the optimal deployment of RTGs in real time. The vendor-agnostic solution can optimize mixed RTG fleets with varying capabilities, including remote RTG-A operations. By improving workload distribution, RTG-O helps terminals increase equipment utilization, enhance operational consistency and improve productivity without requiring additional capital investment. Following this success, the company plans to expand RTG-O to three additional terminals in Europe: Liscont and Leixões in Portugal, and Gävle in Sweden, which will also include remote-controlled A-RTGs.
