Constitution Capital Partners (“Constitution Capital” or the “Firm”), a leading alternative asset manager focused on private equity and private credit investments, today announced the appointment of Rich Schainker, CIMA®, CPFA®, as a Managing Director. Schainker will focus on expanding Constitution Capital’s defined contribution (“DC”) capabilities as the Firm builds on the recent launch of the Constitution Capital Horizon (CIT).
Schainker brings more than three decades of retirement industry experience spanning investment strategy, plan design, fiduciary governance and distribution. With his exposure to the full breadth of the DC ecosystem, his perspective will support Constitution Capital as it expands access to its institutional private equity capabilities across a broader range of retirement plans.
“We’ve spent years preparing for the opportunity to bring private equity into the DC market, and with Horizon now in the market, our focus is on reaching more retirement plans and participants,” said Daniel Cahill, CEO of Constitution Capital Partners. “Rich has spent his career working across the retirement industry and understands what it takes to build adoption with plan sponsors, advisors and other stakeholders. We’re excited to have him join the team as we continue to build on the progress we’ve made.”
Prior to joining Constitution Capital, Schainker served as Senior Director, DC Strategist & Investment Consultant within WTW’s firm retirement practice. In that role, he advised plan sponsors on defined contribution strategy, including investment strategy, plan design, fiduciary oversight, vendor management and governance. He has also held senior retirement and investment roles at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Invesco, among other firms.
“Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to see the retirement market from multiple sides, with a focus on connecting investment strategies with the practical needs of plan sponsors, advisors and retirement plan participants,” said Schainker. “Constitution Capital has built a strong institutional private equity platform and has been thoughtful about how it brings that experience to the defined contribution market. I’m excited to join the Firm and work alongside the team to broaden its relationships across the retirement market and support its continued growth.”
Schainker earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Whittier College. He holds the Certified Investment Management Analyst® (CIMA®) designation and Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor® (CPFA®) credential, as well as FINRA Series 7, 63 and 66 registrations.
