Moonbox launches on Kickstarter with a $250,000 goal after generating 73 million+ organic views and nearly 25,000 pre-launch signups and reservations.

SAN DIEGO, CA, UNITED STATES, August 11, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Moonbox, a patent-pending manual spin-clean litter box created by husband-and-wife cat parents Isaac and Ana Rams, launches today on Kickstarter with a $250,000 funding goal. The product is designed to separate clumps from clean litter in about 5-10 seconds, replacing daily hand-scooping with a simple manual rotation.

Since its public debut on July 5, 2026, Moonbox content has generated more than 73 million combined organic views across TikTok, Instagram and Facebook, according to company platform analytics. That response helped Moonbox record nearly 25,000 pre-launch signups and reservations, including more than 21,000 general waitlist signups and more than 3,500 paid VIP reservations ahead of the Kickstarter campaign.

When users rotate the chamber, clean clumping litter passes through an internal grill while clumps are directed into a pull-out waste drawer. Moonbox requires no motors, sensors, batteries, charging, Wi-Fi or mobile app. With no electrical components, the system is designed to be disassembled and fully washed.

The launch comes as cat ownership and pet spending continue to grow. The American Pet Products Association reports that 53 million U.S. households owned a cat in 2025 and that U.S. pet industry sales reached $158 billion. Feline Veterinary Medical Association guidance recommends removing litter-box waste at least once per day, making litter maintenance a recurring task for millions of cat households.

Moonbox grew from early manual prototypes developed by the couple beginning in late 2024. Community feedback later influenced product refinements, including two swappable grill options and a premium Stainless model. The Classic production version is planned in durable injection-molded ABS, while the Stainless model upgrades the major interior litter and waste contact surfaces to 304 stainless steel.

The $250,000 Kickstarter goal is intended to begin the next stage of production, including tooling and mold development, production-intent samples, testing, packaging engineering and manufacturing setup.
